The Omni Foundation for the Performing Arts brings the world's finest acoustic guitarists to the San Francisco Bay Area — classical at its heart, with flamenco, jazz, and fingerstyle voices throughout the season.
Now in its 46th season, the Dynamite Guitars Series is the longest running and most extensive guitar series in the United States — and one of the foremost guitar series in the world.
Each season the Foundation presents more than twenty guitarists, from established masters to the most compelling new artists of the next generation.
Richard Patterson
Founder & Artistic Director
Richard Patterson studied with the Spanish maestro José Tomás, toured under Columbia Artists Management, and has served as a juror for international guitar competitions. He was a lecturer in music at Notre Dame de Namur University from 1980 to 2015, and founded the Omni Foundation to make San Francisco a permanent home for the world's great guitarists.
